Australian premiere performance of Bax’s extraordinary 1917 ballet ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’. The story is about three ornaments; a figure in Dresden porcelain, a clown and a Russian ballerina, in a window sill on a Summer night who suddenly come to life at the stroke of midnight, only to return to being inanimate with the sunrise. This is the first performance anywhere in the world since 1982, with the composer’s manuscript only being rediscovered in 1981.
