‘Something Old | Something New | Something Borrowed | Something Blue’ a solo trombone recital exploring the conversations trombone creates. American composer T.J. Anderson’s ‘Minstrel Man’ explores the unique and personal aspect of African American music. Prokofiev’s ‘Five Melodies’ are a vocal workout, borrowed for trombone. Charles Small uses the full wealth of dynamics and sounds to produce ‘Conversation’. While the use of trombone and guitar explores a new direction in Billy Stewart’s ‘Colors’
